Good morning! A month or so ago, I came across a new (to me) way to naturally dye fabrics. I was mostly drawn to this natural dye because the end result is my favorite color, blush pink. It sounded very unusual that you could get this dreamy shade from avocado pits! But it's the real deal, and it's remarkably simple. Get the how-to below!
- about 10 avocado pits
- a cotton tea towel
1. Wash off all of your avocado pits, and place in a large sauce pan. Put in your towel, and cover completely with cool water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about an hour. Let cool.
2. Let air dry overnight, then wash and dry like normal.
3. Store dye in an air tight jar and enjoy!
