Good morning! One of my goals for this year is to try and switch out as many store-bought products with homemade products as I can. A lot of the cleaning supplies, beauty + skincare products, and home goods that are available in stores can be made at home with fewer and all natural ingredients. I have a long running list of supplies to make, but the one I wanted to share with you all today is this "recipe" for a simple face serum. I've been looking for a good serum to use at night, but most serums are pretty pricey, and the most luxe ones are the most chemical-filled. Then, as I do with most things, I thought "I'll just make one". It's a very easy DIY to follow, and I've had great results so far since I made it last weekend. Find out how to craft your own below!
- 1 cup of coconut oil
- 1/4 cup of jojoba oil
- 20 drops of tea tree essential oil
- 20 drops of lavender oil
1. Melt down your coconut oil and jojoba oil in a double broiler.
2. Once melted, pour into a small jar and add in your essential oils.
3. Let set overnight and you're good to go!
