Hi there! It's the last day of September, and fall is finally settling in. Honestly, the weather change was enough to make my month, but there were a few other things that made September special. First, going home to Arkansas was so refreshing. We got to show Bailey some of the beautiful sights in the area that I'd always loved growing up! I'm pretty sure it was just as special for my parents (shown above with little Bailey) as it was for me.
Another fun thing was the treasure hunting we did in Arkansas. My mom showed me the perfect flea market shop, where I purchased the handmade objects above, and for that I'll be forever grateful.
Next, was my collaboration with Jord Watches! This watch has been in constant rotation ever since, and I'm still obsessed with the photos Kristen took. That light is magnificent!
Then, I made a conscious decision to incorporate more veggies into everything I eat, starting with this sweet potato + spinach quesadilla (coming soon to the blog!). I've been pretty good with fruit for awhile, but have always struggled with veggies.
After that, I looked into other things that can benefit my health, especially my skin. I found turmeric and decided to give Golden Milk a try! Turmeric has been used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory supplement, and as someone with pale and pink skin, that is ideal.
Lastly, fall. It's my favorite season, and though it means the gloom of winter isn't far off, it also means that the leaves are going to change, soups going to be made, and pumpkins are going to be carved. It's a time to reset and recover from the summer, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for reading, and have a great Friday!
